CARDIMED Global Health Foundation has decided to donate 10,000 EUR to The Action Foundation (TAF) in Kenya.
TAF specifically works with and alongside children with disability and their caregivers, adolescent girls and women in urban and rural informal settlements in Kenya.
We are happy to share that The Action Foundation in Kenya were able to purchase colostomy bags for Teresa, a girl in their mentorship program. The donation of the CARDIMED Global Health Foundation was timely as it came after Coloplast's support had come to an end and TAF were looking for ways to support Teresa to access these critical supplies.
TAF recently opened a new therapy centre in Kawangware, a slum area close to Kibera. Through the centre, they will provide occupational therapy services, nutrition assessments and parent training to more than 150 children and their caregivers.
